JOB DESCRIPTION

Versant is seeking a highly motivated professional to join our Finance and Administration organization.

JOB ACTIVITIES

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this person will be responsible for all accounting functions, manage yearly budgets/forecasts, and work with auditors and counsel to provide accurate financial press releases, all SEC filings, financial statements, and tax returns.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

A combination of the following will be highly desirable:

• Accounting degree with a CPA and prior controller/assistant controller experience
• Audit experience with large public accounting firm, preferably with SEC clients
• Some background in federal, state, and local taxes
• Experience with PC-based accounting systems
• Working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet and database programs
• Experience with software revenue recognition issues
• Background in SEC reporting
